Naturopathic medicine is a distinct primary health care system that blends modern scientific knowledge with traditional and natural forms of medicine. The naturopathic philosophy is to stimulate the healing power of the body and treat the underlying cause of disease. Symptoms of disease are seen as warning signals of improper functioning of the body, and unfavourable lifestyle habits. Naturopathic Medicine emphasizes disease as a process rather than as an entity.

In addition to diet and lifestyle changes, natural therapies including botanical medicine, clinical nutrition, hydrotherapy, homeopathy, naturopathic manipulation and traditional Chinese medicine/acupuncture, may also be used during treatments.

Dr. Tasha Guthrie ND

Dr. Tasha Guthrie, ND was raised in Prince Edward County and began cultivated her love of finding balance while attending the Quinte Ballet School Of Canada. She continued her education at Queen’s University and obtained her Bachelor of Science (BScH) with a major in Psychology. While learning more about mental health, Dr. Guthrie became interested in how she could help people using more natural approaches. She went on to attend the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine and graduated in 2017 with a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine.

​Tasha opened Equilibria Wellness in 2020 with aspirations of helping people find balance within all aspects of their lives. She happily treats many different concerns, including digestion, fertility and hormone balancing. She also loves incorporating acupuncture to help her patients achieve their health goals.

​Dr. Guthrie, ND is a member of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors, the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors, and is a member in good standing the the College of Naturopaths of Ontario.
